kyoshi R. Takeshi Fukuchi founded the Karate Do Seigokai Nikkei
Association of Rio de Janeiro on 21 July 1979 with a group of friends from a club of Japanese
colony based in Rio deJaneiro.
On that date, first they began their activities in a house located at Vilela Tavares Street in Lins
de Vasconcelos neighbourhood in Brazil. After being three years in this place, they moved to
the Piedade neighborhood and in 1994 finally he established the headquarters of Nikkei
Association in Av. Suburbana No. 9889, current Av. D. Helder Camara, which now became
prominent place for several athletes in Seigokan, Brazil.
kyoshi R. Takeshi Fukuchi is next to the late Grand Master Seigo Tada. Currently he teaches
at the dojo located at Ferreira de Sampaio Rua 12, Piety and the Association of Central Bank
of servers in Andarai (ABM Academy).
These all started almost as a meeting between friends, which today became one of the most
prestigious academies in the state of Rio de Janeiro forming athletes with excellent
placements in national and international events.
With over 20 years of existence, the Nikkei Association of Karate-Do Seigokai contributes an
important position within the setting of Seigokan with the recognition given by the late Grand
Master Seigo Tada in 1995, grand master Seigo Tada also delivered the official flag of All Japan
Seigokan Karate Association to kyoshi R. Takeshi Fukuchi, as a honor which is awarded only
to Brazil Dojo, at the time of his 1st visit in 1976.
And the Nikkei Association was represented in 1995 in Seigokan’s Golden Jubilee
magnificently, Together with Seigokan Association Resende and they formed the Brazilian
delegation that won the event’s champion title.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
– Graduated in Business Administration from the university Gama Filho.
– Current Vice-President of the State of Karate Federation of Rio de Janeiro.
– Black Belt 7th Dan on July 30, 2007 in examination held at the All Japan Karate Do
Association seigokan.
– He received the degree of Renshi from the hands of the Grand Master Seigo Tada, on August
3, 1997.
– Black Belt 6th Dan by the Brazilian Confederation of Karate.
– Black Belt 1st Dan Shotokan style in December 1986.
– In Seigokan style he won his 1st Dan Black belt in March 1974 and also won in examination
held by the All Japan Karate Do Association Seigokan by Grand Master Seigo Tada November
26, 1978.
– Recognized as Shiatsuterapeuta (massage therapist) by the Brazilian Association of Eastern
Culture.
Currently he also works as a therapist in the following techniques:
As Onmó Song Kuat – specific Chinese massage for Column problems.
Shiatsu (Japanese languge meaning “finger pressure”) – physical massage therapy using
fingers, thumbs, feet and palms.
Terumi-traditional Japanese healing massage.
Performances as an athlete:
– Participated in state championships with several classifications and achieved between 1st
and 3rd place in the period between 1976-1978
– 4th place in the kumite black belt adult category in Seigokan International Friendship
Tournament in July 1980
– National Vice-Champion in Santos in June 1997
– 1st place in Seigokan International Friendship Tournament in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and
2000 (alternating 1st place in both Kata & Kumite) in the Master category (over 38 years
inclusive).

– Chief Instructor of Nikkei Association of Karate Do Seigokai RJ from 21st of July 1979
– As Instructor Supervisor associations in six Brazilian states

– National Arbitration Commission in 1990.
– State Referee Level A for Kata and Kumite.

of July 2002, taught by Sensei Akira Shiomi (8th Dan) and Masataka Muramatsu (8th Dan).
– Conducted an internship Karate Goju Ryu Technical Seigokan in Externato Penafirme in Torres Vedras
– Portugal, on 12 and 13 July 2002.
– Today he also directed to seek partners in the countries of South America who are interested in
joining the family of Goju Ryu Seigokai
